This project was designed by Tuggle Designs and constructed by Elite Remodeling. The home was a two story stucco exterior with an arched metal roofing system. When the design for the new work out room was created, the second story’s existing space was reconfigured into a new media room with a shared electronics closet. The work out room was added above the one story family room below. The work out room was designed and positioned to overlook the golf course and their pool.

The construction challenge to this job was to construct the 2nd story addition while the family continued to live in the home which included using the family room below. As the homeowners did not have small children, we were able to restrict access to the second floor during the project. The home’s backyard area faced the Stonebriar Country Club Golf Course, so we wanted to ensure the work out room had almost a 180 degree visibility span that would create an open environment while maintaining as much light as possible into the work out room

The new media room was simply a reconfiguration of existing space and painted in soft colors. The work out room interior was painted with bright, yet warm colors for energy while the hand scraped hardwood floors created a strong yet warm contrast. Flat screen TVs we positioned in both rooms along with a built-in surround sound system controlled by the shared electronics closet along with wall mounted remote control units. The stucco exterior and aluminum arched metal roofing were matched flawlessly even though the original structure was 8+ years old.
